11:24AM Using the front end loader to lift the trusses. Each
truss weighs 154 lbs. I lift them to the right height and then
slide them over and into position. This was a slow process but
it worked. Some friends came over and helped later in the day
and we were able to move all 22 trusses into position by the end
of the day. |

2:36PM All of the trusses are in place and have been
attached to the walls. Additional bracing was put in to box the
trusses. |

2:37PM The walls and trusses are in place. The gap on the
left side is where the stairs will be going. |

3:28PM The 5/8 inch OSB is heavy so I rigged up a block and tackle
system
to lift the sheets into place. This has worked very well. The
2x6 on the top is a stop block and the OSB is lifted up until it
is pulled tight against the stop block. The pipe clamps are
being used to hold the stop block in place. |

10:14AM It's a beautiful weekend to work on the garage. I'm
working on sheathing the back wall. The top of the end walls
will be sheathed with the second story walls. |

2:22PM I started to put the floor decking on. I ended up
getting ahead of myself at this point. I should have installed
the stongbacks in the floor trusses before putting on any
flooring, I was too anxious to see the floor. I only screwed
down one sheet before stopping. |

5:04PM We had some rain so I was delayed for awhile. I
finished installing the stongbacks and the rest of my "to
do" list for the first floor before preceding to the second
floor. I'm installing the floor decking (3/4" Advantech)
using glue and ~64 screws per sheet. It should hold tight and
not squeak. |
