Young Appalachian Musicians

Ashley is part of the Young Appalachian Musicians. This is an after school program run by volunteers. They are teaching Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin and Bass. Ashley chose to learn the bass.  They had their first public performance Saturday, March 8th, 2008. They played at the Table Rock Lodge. This picture is a scan of the logo that is printed on their shirts.

The fiddle players and mandolin players are playing a song.

Ashley is hidden behind her bass, but she is playing "Boil Them Cabbage Down" along with the guitar players. The man in the orange shirt is Pastor Gerald Martin from our church at Holly Springs. He was there to see his grandson play the fiddle. The other man with the long white beard donated the bass to the school.

Ashley did a great job!
